The School of Architecture at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have proven excellence in design teaching and interdisciplinary design research. We are particularly interested in prospective candidates with advanced expertise in related areas of scholarship, for example, without being limited to, integrative design practice, sustainable design, digital fabrication and other building technologies, and building systems. Teaching responsibilities include design studio, courses in our building technology stream (Organization of Materials in Building; Energy, Environment & Buildings; Sustainable Design; Advanced Construction) and supervision of Masters and PhD-level students.
Candidates must hold a professional degree in architecture, an advanced degree in architecture or a related field, and an exemplary research record and/or significant professional experience. A PhD and eligibility for professional registration are expected. Evidence of teaching experience and outstanding research achievements, or research potential, is essential.
